17 weeks, 2 days

Not much has changed this week, other than my size. I still can't feel them move on a regular basis yet, which of course, makes me anxious, but my belly is growing at an alarming rate, so I try to stay calm. I am really looking forward to our appointment next week to confirm the genders. I have been anticipating starting to plan color schemes and names, but nothing can be done until we know for sure. It is hard to believe that we are already so close to the half way point. If that doesn't scare the begeebies out of my husband, I don't know what will! Although, he did survive the initial news, so I have to give him some credit.

He has been wonderful, in case anyone had any doubts. I receive my weekly email updates on the changes and progress from babycenter.com and babyfit.com and daily reminders for snacks and water from Brandon. He has helped me manage my caloric intake like a champ, making sure I fill up with quality not just quantity calories. Don't get me wrong, we both had ice cream last night, but like I say..."it counts towards my dairy"!

Jack is doing well and says hi to the babies occasionally. He will even give them kisses good morning and good night, on good days. He doesn't quite grasp the fact that they are coming home to live with us, but we're working on that, along with our sharing skills, with little success.

Brandon's mom finally got her "license for pink" and boy, did she use it. She has almost filled a closet 1/3 of the way full with pink and lavender clothing from various sales. She has even researched kid stuff sales to attend this spring. Needless to say, we are all very excited.
