29 weeks, 2 days

So, we had an ultra sound, a doctor's visit and my 1 hour glucose screening today. The girls look great. They made a big jump in their weight gain since our last visit bringing Kate up to 2 lbs, 14 oz and Olivia up to 3lbs even. That puts them back in the "normal" range on the scale, so Dr. Dutton was very happy with that. My weight gain is still on track as well, though I will not be sharing that will all of you!

We will see Dr. Clark in 2 weeks and monitor our progress accordingly for the next month, then we will start to go every week. Still no bed rest, (hip hip hooray!!) though she did warn me that if I don't start slowing it down, she is going to officially put me on "light duty". She said the pain in my hips was a dead giveaway that I have been spending too much time on my feet without a break. Well, it's May and I am a caterer...enough said. But, nothing, not even my livelihood, takes precedence over the safety of my girls, so slow it down is what we will do. I suppose I will really have to put my delegation skills to the test know and hope that I have trained them all well enough to do it without me at work.

My husband and in laws have been great! Brandon makes sure I eat, drink, sleep (when I am not sweating like the sun or waking from leg cramps) and put my feet up in between during the day. He has taken over "bath duty" now that I can't bend over the tub anymore, too.

We went in the pool at Rich and Jackie's last night, though it was a little "cool", it felt great. I didn't realize how great, until I got out and felt the weight of my body again. I think if I could, I would spend the next 7-8 weeks permanently in the pool!!

We have finally managed to make progress on the upstairs. Jack's new room, the hallway and staircase all have a coat of primer on them, and Jack's room actually has two and a half walls painted. Brandon will attend the last session of his first class towards his master's degree tonight and Jackie will help me finish painting the first coat on Jack's room while Grampa babysits.

I will soon be downloading pictures of the renovation progress along with "belly" pictures for all of those running out of patience with me...sorry!!

  1. Michelle and Brandon,
Enjoy keeping up with you all, Jack, and the girls. You are doing so good Michelle - I pray this will continue.
