I know, I know...
Wow, how far behind am I with the blog?! Are you kidding...it's already June?! Needless to say, I am almost unaware that May has come and gone. We had an unbelievable month for weddings and corporate events this spring and I can't complain about that, but it has set EVERYTHING else in my life behind. The dishes, the laundry, and oh yeah, my blog. Where to pick up...the girls are even more mobile now and on the brink of walking. They have switched personalities (even though I didn't believe anyone who told me they would!) and though Kate is still a Princess and doesn't like to be dirty, Olivia is quite the Diva and very demanding these days. She is a wild child and into everything. They babble constantly and Kate will even have a "conversation" with you while Olivia just prefers to yell from across the room. Jack has had 6 consecutive "poops" on the potty with no accidents in between and so now we have acquired 5 fish in a tank in his room. Our morning and evening routines now include saying good morning and good night to "Nemo, Dory #2, Bruce, Melman, and Fred" along with the turtle statue we call "Crush", the plant we call "Sea Lion" and the filter we call "Whisper" while we feed them (because I don't have enough to take care of!) Kate went to the dermatologist last week for that thing on her eye. We now have a name for it...the doctor believes it is a nevus sebaceous (impressed i remembered and spelled that, say it!)and will probably cause her no ill affects the rest of her life. There is a small chance it will change in color and size and possibly grow benign tumors within it as her hormone levels change with puberty and so we will have it re-examined when she is 10 or 11 years old. The weather here has been hot, like in the 90's hot with humidity in the 80%...gross! So, the girls had their first taste of the swimming pool last weekend (or the weekend before that, I can't remember) and loved it! Olivia more so than Kate, of course, but they both had a blast. Jack was in heaven in the pool again. We went to church and then breakfast this past Sunday morning and then Grams and Grampa took the girls to their house while Brandon and I took Jack to Huber's for some strawberry picking. We had a blast and then I made strawberry shortcakes for dessert last night after dinner - yum! We are planning a summer trip to Florida to see my family in July. We are driving and this trip ought to be interesting! Brandon and I just celebrated 5 years of marriage on Saturday, though we have been together almost 11 now. Though we have had good and bad times and shared lots of smiles and tears, I look forward to sharing many, many more years together. You are the love of my life and I couldn't be happier...
