sniffle, sniffle...

Here is a surprise...it is 9:00pm and we are exhausted! Ha, the story of my life, but I love my life...most days, that is (wink). We helped throw Clinton (Brandon's cousin) and his fiance Rachel a couples wedding shower last night. Everyone had a great time and it was a huge success. Michele and Jackie worked hard to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves. Jackie collected usual household items for weeks in order to play a number of "minute to win it" games instead of the usual boring shower games and everyone competed for a great grand prize. It was a gift basket full of a bottle of Knob Creek and scratch off lottery tickets. We laughed and had a great time competing until almost midnight. And even though Jack was up for most of it, he was still up at his normal time, which made for a house full of sleepy, cranky people, big and small.
So, today we had open house for Jack to see his new classroom and meet his new teachers. Wednesday starts his Pre-K program at St Bernard (insert sniffles here). Brandon and I can't believe how big he is and want to know how this much time has gotten away from us already. Then I think about my sister putting her oldest into high school this year, and I don't feel so bad! I look back, and though I feel like I take a ton of pictures (yeah, yeah, I don't post nearly enough) I don't feel like I have enough to fill in all the time that has gone by. I don't feel like I have captured enough memories yet for him to be on his way to 4 years old. I love the fact that he is getting his independence, that he thrives to learn and is blooming, but I miss my baby boy. I do get to snuggle every day still, and hope I continue to do so for quite some more time. He will always be my love bug...

  1. It's amazing just how fast time goes by when you're raising kiddos. We just said tonight, that tomorrow begins a run of at least 16 years straight of having a kid in high school for us. Scary, crazy...right!?!? I can't wait to see pics of Jack's big day! Stay tuned for our...School is back in session in the morning!
