Wow! The girls are a year old already...where did it go? More importantly, we survived!! I wasn't sure we were going to for a while. Any parent knows how exhausting a new born can be until they sleep through the night, at least, but wow, two really is double everything! But we did it and continue to do it every day. We had a pool party for some of our friends and family and asked them to help us support our local chapter of the Pajama Program instead of bringing gifts. We were able to collect 13 pairs of jammies (with a few more on the way) and 8 new books. Thank you to everyone who participated!!
Florida was a blast, and of course, went by too fast. Oh well, there is always Thanksgiving! Olivia had taken a few steps on her own before we left for Florida and was full fledged walking by the time we got back! It is definitely her preferred method of transportation now and she is off and running. Kate is still content to do her "one legged" crawl. She has 6 teeth with two more coming in while Olivia only has two. Both babble constantly, in "sentences" like they are really trying to tell you something. It is so sweet.
Jack started swimming lessons last week and loves it. It took a little coercing the first night, but after that he was hooked! He is also no longer wearing pull-ups to bed...yay! Of course, he got up at 5:00am to go pee this morning, but hey, no accidents and no more buying those things!! He is a little sad this week, as it is his last week at DayCare. He will have to say goodbye to Miss Berina, whom he adores, and starts a Pre-K program next Wednesday at St Bernard where we attend church. We'll see how the transition goes! Keep your fingers crossed...
