I saw Dr Price on Friday (Dr Dutton was running behind again), who also said everything looks great and doesn't expect to have to induce us, but doesn't see us in labor any earlier than full term (37 weeks) either. No dialating yet, so I suppose it was the look on my face that then promted her next comment..."I'm not sure if that is good news or not..." and of course it is. It is best for the girls to stay put as long as possible, but selfishly, part of me is very ready for them to be here. I am almost 4 foot in diameter! Of course, the nursery isn't quite ready, but then they won't be up there for 4-6 weeks anyway, so...
The carpet was installed a week ago, the painting is finished (except for some "minor" touch ups from the installation), the electric is fixed and all of the outlets and switches were replaced, not to mention new ceiling fans were put in. That alone, has truly helped with the temperature upstairs. Not to mention the new portable AC unit Rich and Jackie gave us as a "shower" gift. The two cribs are put together and the bedding is on them and the paint for Jack's "new" bedroom furniture is drying. Once that is dry we can transfer all of his stuff into it and out of the "nursery" furniture which can then be moved upstairs and filled with multiple baskets already full of baby clothes. Some of which were the unisex stuff that I was able to salvage from Jack, some is hand-me-downs from friends, and the rest are the result of Jackie and Michele's "license to buy pink" over excitement of having girls finally
We have our ultrasound tomorrow where we will check, once again, the growth of the girls. I am guessing anywhere from 4 1/2 - 5 pounds each, but we'll see. We will start seeing the doctor every week from here on out, but I am not sure how many more, if any, ultrasounds we will have until we are in labor and at the hospital to check if either baby is presenting. That kind of makes me sad since I love seeing them every chance we get. Jackie is going to try to get away for a long, late lunch tomorrow and join us for the ultrasound. I hope she makes it to see the girls first hand. It is so hard to try to describe what you see in those pictures after the fact, so it will be nice for her to experience it.
