The results are in...

So Olivia and I went back to the audiologist yesterday for her follow up hearing exam. Her sensory cells are still not normal, but that is not uncommon in small children with ear tubes so they are not overly concerned. And, everything else is back in the normal range!! Yay, Olivia!! What a huge relief it was to know there is no problem with the middle ear, just some nasty, thick, gunk hanging out in her ears, which is now all gone. She definately responds much better to sound now, is babbling more, and even sits up straighter (being her equilibrium is working now!). It is amazing how much a little fluid will affect.
We go back to see the ENT who did her surgery next Friday and the audiologist said the ENT will probably send us back for another hearing test in 3-4 months to check her sensory cells and make sure the tubes are still in place and doing what they should.
